The World Bank Implementation Support Mission has rated the Abia State’s Community and Social Development Project high.
Speaking in Umuahia, the state capital, the General Manager, Abia CSDP, Dr Chinatu Njoku, said the team which came to monitor what the agency had done was impressed.
He said, “The essence of the World Bank Implementation Support Mission was to assess our performance in line with our agreement with them.
“They sought to find out if we were funding communities and groups observing the laid-down rules of the engagement.
“The groups raised issues that were aimed at strengthening our capacity and deepen our success.”
He added, “The world Bank team were impressed that the Abia CSDP and YESSO projects are doing well.”
