Abia Head of service frowns at the poor performance of admin officers in the state Ogbonnaya Ikokwu, Umuahia




Abia State head of service Mr Onyi awamah, has decried the abysmal performance of some administrative officers in the state civil and Public service.

He also directed directors and heads of departments in charge of administration to brace up to the challenge of returning the service to its lost glory.

Wamah, who was addressing directors and heads of departments, administration in the various MDAs of the state, in a statement frowned at the level of degradation, non challance and naivety by some directors who allowed junior officers to endorse correspondence and mail leaving their offices for other establishment.

He was particularly worried that the same cadre of officers were endorsing letters meant for the office of head of service, asserting that such is a deregulation of duty to the exalted office of the Head of service.

The number one civil servant in Abia made it clear that annual leave was a must for all civil/Public servants and warned that stiff penalty will be meted on any public servant that fails to comply with the directive.

Wamah, also described  the debasement of the civil service norms against indecent and shabby dressing as unholy,
stressing that he would not spare any civil servant found dressing in such unwanted manners.
