The Connak foundation on Tuesday commenced the free distribution of face shield, face mask and hand sanitizer to tricycle operators in the Abia State.

Dr Orji Mnorom, said the exercise which started in Umuahia the state capital will continue in Aba the commercial hub of the state.
The founder of foundation,
Kenneth Ukeagu, said he embarked on the exercise to support the fight against the spread of coronavirus pandemic in the state.
He encourage the recipients to obey all the Nigeria centre for disease control protocols to stop the spread of coronavirus including maintaining social distancing.
He urged them to wear their face mask regularly and ensure that all their passengers are wearing face mask before conveying to destination.
He said, "Our foundation believes in youth empowerment and as far as the Covid-19 pandemic is concerned it's the youths who are mostly transporters that doesn't believe that it exits.
"So by what we are doing we are creating the awareness that Covid-19 is real and at the same time encouraging the tricycle operators who by the nature of their business comes in contact with people always to stay safe and protect themselves".
The legal adviser of the group Barr Ifeanyi Nnajiofor, stated that 1000 packages 4 -in- 1 protection items was distributed to the recipients adding that more would be distributed in Aba and Ohafia as soon as the second consignment arrives the country.
