Abia CP tasks newly promoted officers on discipline Ogbonnaya Ikokwu, Umuahia




The Commissioner of Police in Abia state, Mrs Janet Agbede, has charged newly promoted police officers in the state to be good representative of the Nigeria police force in the discharge of their duties.

Agbede, spoke on Tuesday at the state command headquarters in Umuahia while decorating eleven Police officers with their new ranks.

Two of the officers were promoted to Chief superintendent of Police, while nine others were promoted to  superintendent of Police.

She reminded the officers that promotion comes with expectations, adding that they should endeavour to discharge quality service to the Police force and the country at Large.

She said" Promotion comes from no one but God. I'm happy that the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu, has implemented your promotion.

"But remember that every promotion comes with new expectations, so at all times you must be good ambassadors of the Nigeria Police force in the line of duty".

Godwin Omoruyi and Onwochei Stephen were promoted from superintendent of Police to Chief superintendent of Police.

While the PA to the commissioner of Police Enyi Ignatius, Mhammed Garba, and Nlekwem Oliver were promoted from Deputy superintendent of Police to superintendent of Police.

The rest are Onyekpandu Kamalu, Edo Obo, Etim Effiong Okokon, Olayinka Adeley, Samuel Nwankwoala and Lawer Nubue who were promoted from Deputy superintendent of Police to superintendent of Police.

Responding on behalf of the newly promoted officers CSP Stephen Onwochei, commended the IG for promoting them.

He vowed that they would support the CP in policing the state, adding  that they will remain disciplined to the force.
