Abia CP urges youths to apply for Police recruitment, shun crime Ogbonnaya Ikokwu, Umuahia

 


The Commissioner for Police in  Abia State, Mrs. Janet Agbade, has enjoined youths in the state who are qualified for recruitment into the police force to fill the form and go for the screening exercise.


She also urged the youths to shun crime and engage in meaningful life style.


Speaking while receiving leaders of the National Youth Council of Nigeria from the old Bende division of the state at the command headquarters in Umuahia, the CP observed that most youths in Nigeria prefers to live expensive life styles rather than working hard to succeed.


She pointed out that many Nigerians who migrated out of the country would end up doing menial jobs they would never do in the Nigeria in their dream safe heavens.


She said, "The youths must understand that crime is never the way out. Therefore, they should be engaged in useful ventures in their youthful age because the law will not spare those who take to crime".


Earlier in their remarks, the Chairman of the group, Mr. Okori Sunday and the Spokesman, Mr Great Chigozie Okeahialam, lauded the CP and the officers in the command for ensuring the safety of the lives and prosperty in the state.


They promised to engage the youths in the state in deliberation that would spur them to shun crime and engage in hard work.
