The chairman of the Bende Local Government Area chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria Comrade Sunday Okorie, has hailed Governor Okezie, for the proactive move of constituting a judicial panel of inquiry to investigate the allegations of police brutality in the state.
Comrade Onuoha, made his position known while reacting to issues concerning the recent protests across the country by the youths, asking for reforms in police formations in Nigeria.
He admonished the youths to end the protests haven’t made their voice hard loud and clear in order to give peace a chance.
He also lauded the Governor for finding sons and daughters of Bende LGA extraction including a former Chief Judge of the state,
Justice S. N Imoh(rtd) who heads the panel and Bishop Sunday Onuoha, a renowned cleric and President of Vision Africa, veteran actress Miss Doris Ogala, a known rights activist and defender of the oppressed all made the list from Bende LGA.
Comrade Okorie charged them to put Abia first as they go about the discharge of the onerous task of the panel.
