Christmas: CONNAK foundation puts more smiles on people's faces
In the spirit of giving associated with the Christmas celebration, a Non Governmental Organization known as CONNAK Foundation has continued to put smiles on people's faces in Abia state.
After lavishing 152 students under her scholarship program with gifts on Christmas day, the Foundation went further to celebrate the boxing day with members of its host community at
Umuegwu Okpuala in Umuahia North LGA.
The exercise captioned
Love in a box project, coordinated by the Mr Chike Uche, the CONNAK foundation centre manager in Ohafia, saw the beneficiaries going home with cloth materials, spaghetti and other cooking condiments.
Also another 208 students under going training on Information Communication Technology at the CONNAK Foundation resource centre in Umuahia were not left out as they went home with one carton of noddle and meat each for the Christmas celebration.
The Chief operating officer for the NGO Barr Nene Jones, told our correspondent that the gift items were part of the Foundation's efforts at touching the lives of those within its host community and beyond at Christmas.
Many of those who benefited from the program went home excited, while pouring blessings on on CONNAK Foundation founder Mr Kenneth Nnamdi Okeagu, and members of his team.
