A lawmaker, Chief Sam Onuigbo, has charged communities in his constituency to protect Federal Government’s projects cited in their areas.
Onuigbo, member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South Federal Constituency made this charge while commissioning some projects he facilitated in his constituency.
He also advised his constituents to go beyond political party sentiment and choose a leader that would give them quality representation.
He charged Nigerians to elect their leaders based on track records and performance rather than political party affliation.
Onuigbo, said the projects he attracted cut across party divide, adding that he derived personal satisfaction from doing what is best for his people.
He said it was important for the beneficiaries of such projects to have a change of attitude and maintain them because the projects belong to them.
He added that the projects being commissioned were outcome of his campaign promises to his people.
He said, “What I can assure our people is that between now and 2023, we will witness an unprecedented level of human and infrastructure development".
Onuigbo said that he was not a man to make promises, but was all about leaving an indelible mark on the people in the end.
