Kidnappers of the traditional ruler of Jaba Chiefdom, Kpop Ham, Gyet Maude, in Java Local Government Area of Kaduna State, have demanded N100m ransom for the release of the monarch
According to a family source, “the bandits reached out to us (family) today (Tuesday) on the telephone.”
Maude, who is over 80 years, was kidnapped on Monday while on his farm located in the Gitata community, a border town between the state and Nasarawa State.
The incident came just after bandits abducted 85-year-old Emir of Kajuru, Alhaji Alhassan Adamu alongside 13 other members of his family.
However, in less than 24 hours, the emir regained freedom while other members of the family were held back by the kidnappers.
