The Chancellor, Gregory University, Uturu, Abia State Professor Gregory I. Ibe, has congratulated Professor Uzodinma T. Nwala, on his 80th birthday celebration.
In a well worded congratulary message dated February 27th, 2022, Ibe, who expressed his good wishes to the erodite scholar, stated that he had blazed trails and charted courses that the faint in mind will dare not attempt in the course of his life journey.
The message read, "On this great and momentous occasion of your remarkable 4 scores on this side of heaven, I offer my felicitations and utter best wishes to you, my dear Dede. I am particularly glad on this great milestone you have achieved among other insightful and historic landmarks you have attained.
"As a result of your fecund mental acuity, sublime intellect and debonair personality, you pioneered pedagogy in African philosophy at the University of Nigeria with seminal publications which now serve as germane and immutable references in afro-philosophism and ensured it gained continental acclaim, global recognition and international status. Indeed, dear prof, bar none, you were and still remain the father of contemporary African philosophy, a first-rate scholar of international renown and a distinguished personality Ndi Igbo are immensely proud of.
"In your prime, you championed the cause of your people and your country. Without reservation, you played immense roles in propagating knowledge in Igbo philosophy and its advancements to civilization even as you engendered same for the peoples of Africa. Your efforts at statecraft and nation-building are adequately documented and your experiences in internationalism stood you out as a beacon for the black race.
"Dear prof, you are now elevated into the pantheon of gods and your contributions will always remain evergreen for generations to come in guidance to Ndi Igbo and other nations of Africa. Hearty congratulations on your 80th birthday, sir. You will be like tomorrow for tomorrow never ends".
