Aba North/South Federal constituency: Nnamani emerges Labour Party consensus candidate




The battle for the representation of Aba North and South Federal Constituency in the Green Chambers in 2023 took another dimension with the emergence of Hon. Emeka Nnamani, as the candidate of the Labour Party unopposed.

The primary election that took place at the Banquet hall of Enitona hotel, Aba on Wednesday,  June 8, 2022 saw the emergence of Nnamani, as the  consensus candidate of the party together with some other candidates of the party from Abia South Senatorial zone emerging as well.

Some other Federal House of Representative candidates of Labour Parry that emerged from Abia South Senatorial zone along side Hon Emeka Nnamani includes: Hon. Munachim Alozie for Obingwa/Ugwunagbo/Osisioma Federal Constituency and Hon. Irene Agwabunma for Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency.

Speaking after his emergence, Nnamani, a veteran Politician and former Representative Aba North State Constituency in the 6th Abia State House off Assembly, appreciated the party for giving him the platform and also welcoming him and his numerous  supporters into the party.

He pledged his loyalty and unflinching support to the party at all times.

He called on all members of the Labour Party in Abia State and Aba North/South Federal Constituency in particular to be steadfast  and come together as one united political family and work in unity for the success and overwhelming victory of the party across board in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

He assured the party executives and all members that he's poised and battle ready for the task ahead and promised them that the ticket given to him was not a waste as it will surely lead the party to overwhelming victory at the general election in 2023.

He called on the party officials to ensure the availability of the party's membership cards as many of his numerous supporters will be registering in large numbers to formally join the Labour Party in the coming days.

Recall that Hon. Emeka Nnamani had on Friday June 3, 2022 officially resigned his membership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (,APGA) and joined the Labour Party, citing lack of internal democracy as his major reason for dumping APGA.

Hon. Nnamani, is a former member of the 6th Abia State House Of Assembly, a well known Philanthropist and a successful business tycoon. 

He is the  Proprietor/CEO of the legendary Enitona Hotel, GRA Aba, among other numerous successful business conglomerates which he superintends.
