The President Vision Africa International Bishop Sunday Onuoha, has won the governorship primary election of the African Democratic Congress in Abia.
He polled 330 votes to defeat his only opponent Mr Otisi Ebitu Ukiwe, who scored 160 votes, 20 void votes was recorded the primary election.
The returning officer for the election Mr Nkem Ukandu, declared him the winner of the election.
In his acceptance speech, Onuoha congratulated Ukiwe, the battle well fought.
He said, "It's a new beginning for Abia state, I believe that Abians have spoken this night and they are saying that there is a new way to do politics in the state".
Meanwhile Ukiwe, has vowed to challenge the result of the primary election in the lawcourt.
Ukiwe, who spoke through his agent Mr Robert Onuma, said that no proper accreditation of delegates was made for the election.
He alleged that the real delegates list was exchanged with the names of members of Onuoha's foundation.
Ukiwe, wondered why the party delegates was made up of over 70% physically challenged persons as against party members who have been attending party meetings.
He said, "The list of delegates used for the primary election is strange to us, we don't know names they were calling.
"Even though we are not against persons with disabilities participating in the election, having upto 70% of the delegates is questionable.
"We will not accept the result decleared and we will challenge the out of this election in Court".
