A chieftain of the Labour Party in Abia State Engr Steve Ochomma, described the presidential flag bearer of the party Mr Peter Obi, as the solution to the numerous problems bedeviling Nigeria as an entity.
He also said that the governorship candidate of the party in the state is the solution the state has been looking for.
Ochomma, in a statement on Friday noted that the 2023 general election was going to be a defining moment in the history of Abia State and Nigeria at large.
He noted that the high level of hunger, poverty,institutional corruption,ethnic and religious divisions has rendered majority of the Nigerians hopeless, adding that there was a need for a change in the nation's historical trajectory.
The statement partly read, "The days of looting,sharing and 'rub my back and i rub yours ' politics and governance should be over.we cannot continue on the inglorious path of consumption alone,we must reset the buttons to production and wealth creation.
"The era of electing charlatans and men with low moral standards should be done away with and therefore men of good character,integrity,competence and above all God fearing should be given a chance to mount leadership positions".

of Labour party are the best candidates who can change the narrative of governance both in Abia state and Nigeria respectively".
He urged all Abians and Nigerians to support Obi and Otti inorder to reset the state and country and put it on the path of sustainable development and prosperity.
While responding to questions from journalists Ochomma, expressed hope that Otti has what it takes to turn the situation of Abia state around following his outstanding record as Managing director of former Diamond bank.
He stated that Abia state was in a mess financially ,economically and otherwise and therefore needs someone with a magic wand to turn things around which Alex Otti fits in very well.
On the loss of Alex Otti during the 2015 Election as a result of rigging and manipulations and measures to avoid a repeat in 2023 General election Ochomma, insisted that the new electoral law which has been passed will help to check the excesses of rigging and manipulation in next year's elections.
