The Apex Igbo socio/political organization Ohaneze Ndi Igbo will honour the the presidential candidate of the Labour Party Mr Peter Obi, with an award of excellence on Tuesday November 29, 2023 in Umuahia the Abia State capital.
The award will be confered on Obi and other eminent Nigerians during the inauguration of the Abia State executive committee of the organization.
The chairman of the planing committee for the event Chief Charles Ama, told journalist that those to be honored alongside Obi, includes the president World tread Organization Dr Ngozi Okonju Iwuala, the speaker of Abia State House of Assembly Chief Chinedum Orji, chief Chris Igwe, the CEO Innoson motors Chief Innocent Chukwuma, and Abia foremost industrialist Chief Emmanuel Adaelu among others.
Ama, revealed that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, will deliver a key note address during the event, while a retired deputy Inspector General of Police Azubuko Udah, would be the chairman of the occasion.
He said, "Arrangements are on top gear, the crime dala crime of the Abia society will be present for the occasion. The occasion will be key started by a one hour devotional service to be anchored by the christain association of Nigeria.
"We can assure all our guest coming from outside the state that Abia is safe and they should come and enjoy the hospitality of the state.
"The Abia State council of Arts and culture will render a command performance to entertain our guest on the deal day".
