I Saw great similarities between Africa and America - Redeemer

The convener's friend Miss Jacqueline Redeemer, expressed a great joy for visiting Africa for the first time.

Redeemer, who hails from California city USA said her general impression of the people She saw in Africa was that of beauty, adding that she also saw a great similarities between Africans and the Americans.

In her own words, "I'm a friend of Obidiya and I'm honoured to join her home.

"Chief Eme and Obidiya has been such a blessing to the community, she spoke a lot about what she does for the village and I just believe it's my opportunity to come and stand with her to bring Joy to those that deserves honour and give hope to the widows, the aged and children.

"I'm a little overwhelmed right now. My heart and soul is overwhelmed.
Coming home to Africa is such a great joy. The only thing I will have to impact here is the love of God in my heart and however he chose for me to do that, I will be obdident and do it.

"I remember when I was descending from the aeroplane as I was seeing the sun setting, my impression of the people I saw was beauty. My impression of the people I was looking at their eyes,  they looked like my uncles. They looked like my friends in school from the elementary.

"l saw a lot of similarities and for me coming from the United States of America I thought before coming here the journey, my ancestors have to take to come to America not by choice, and I asked myself what an honour for me to come to Africa by choice,so I'm ready to take whatever Africa has and ready to give whatever God has bestowed me with.
